Patriots vs. Seahawks: A Super Bowl Rematch

It didn’t take long for the New England Patriots to return to football’s biggest stage following the end of the Tom Brady–Bill Belichick era. After winning their sixth championship in 2019, New England is back in the Super Bowl just seven years later, led by quarterback Drake Maye in his second NFL season and Mike Vrabel in his first year as head coach.

The Seattle Seahawks are making their first Super Bowl appearance since their dramatic loss to the Patriots in 2015. That game famously ended when Russell Wilson’s late pass was intercepted at the goal line, sealing a 28–24 victory for New England.

Now, the two teams meet again in a highly anticipated rematch at Super Bowl LX.

Who’s Playing in Super Bowl LX?

Super Bowl LX features the AFC champion New England Patriots against the NFC champion Seattle Seahawks. Their last Super Bowl matchup came in 2015, when the Patriots erased a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit and won the game in the final minute.

Global superstar Bad Bunny will headline the halftime show at the 2026 Super Bowl.

Super Bowl Sunday will also feature several pregame performances:

  • Brandi Carlile will sing America the Beautiful

  • Coco Jones will perform Lift Every Voice and Sing
